As Ireland's first specialist mystery shopping company we were set up with a simple idea: to help companies grow by learning from customer experiences. PAN is a wholly Irish owned company, and a founding member of the Mystery Shopping Providers Association (Europe). Adrian Bushnell, PAN’s managing director, is a past board member of that organisation.

How it all started
Our founder, Adrian Bushnell, has his father to thank. Adrian’s Dad worked for an insurance broker who were recruiting staff for their expanding call centre operation. Without hiring people to listen into a large number of calls they couldn’t find a way to objectively measure staff performance. That was the spark!
Adrian recognised an opportunity, and discovered there was a service called mystery shopping, where people posed as typical customers to provide feedback on their experiences. Shortly afterwards Adrian quit his job and set up PAN Research in 1996 as Ireland first specialist mystery shopping agency…and from there things grew and grew!
